About This Opportunity:
As a Business Systems Analyst Manager, you’ll lead and develop a group of analysts who translate business needs into effective system solutions. You’ll oversee requirements gathering, documentation, and process improvements while keeping projects aligned with agile methodologies and organizational priorities. By partnering with business stakeholders and technical teams, you’ll optimize workflows, enhance system capabilities, and ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions that drive impact across the organization.
Things You’ll Do Here:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Business Systems Analysts, setting clear goals, expectations, and performance standards.
- Conduct regular coaching sessions, performance reviews, and career development planning to build a high performing, engaged team.
- Foster a collaborative, inclusive culture that emphasizes knowledge sharing, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams to ensure alignment on requirements and priorities.
- Oversee the elicitation, documentation, validation, and translation of business needs into functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Collaborate with product and project managers to manage work intake, prioritize initiatives, and support delivery timelines.
- Ensure adherence to business analysis best practices, industry standards, and agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
- Evaluate and enhance business processes, workflows, and system functionality to improve efficiency and scalability.
- Establish and maintain standard operating procedures, templates, and tools for consistent and high-quality analysis.
- Partner with technical teams (e.g., Data Engineering, Application Development) to understand system capabilities, constraints, and integration requirements.
- Provide guidance on data mapping, workflow design, and system integrations to align business and technical objectives.
- Support onboarding and training of analysts on tools, platforms, and methodologies (e.g., Databricks, Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence).
- Monitor project progress, proactively identify risks and dependencies, and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Facilitate workshops, ideation sessions, and requirement review meetings with cross-functional teams.
- Contribute to enterprise initiatives by offering insights into business processes, system capabilities, and emerging technology trends.
- Partner with leadership to plan team growth, training programs, and capacity-building strategies.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
What You’ll Bring to the Team:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
- Five (5) or more years of senior-level business analysis experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience), including project leadership and agile support.
- Proven leadership skills with experience managing staff, mentoring teams, and driving performance in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
- Strong analytical ability to assess complex business problems, identify inefficiencies, and develop effective solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels and clearly convey technical concepts.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results.
- Solid understanding of business analysis methodologies, requirements gathering, documentation, and process improvement.
- Proficiency with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, and reporting/dashboard platforms.
A plus if you have:
- Previous experience leading a team of analysts.
- Master’s degree
- An understanding of general concepts of the healthcare industry, types of information used, how the data is produced, consumed, and transformed.
