VP, Member Engagement

As the VP of Member Engagement, you’ll provide both strategic and operational leadership to unify and optimize our Member Engagement functions. You’ll be responsible for designing and executing initiatives that deliver an outstanding member experience across Valenz solutions—ensuring members access the right care, at the right time, in the right place. In this role, you’ll collaborate across service lines and business units, bringing teams together under a cohesive strategy to drive transformation, efficiency, and measurable impact.
Things You’ll Do Here:
- Lead the strategic development of a unified member engagement function across Valenz to manage communications and routing effectively and efficiently.
- Oversee the staged rollout of strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with business priorities and close collaboration with service-line leaders.
- Partner with stakeholders to design and implement a member-facing technology strategy (including telephony, asynchronous communications, and internal management tools).
- Develop and execute a data management strategy to leverage insights for proactive outreach and member steerage.
- Provide operational oversight of the Member Engagement team, including workflow design, training, staffing strategy, and performance goals/metrics.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to scale member engagement capabilities and deliver outcomes tied to business objectives.
- Foster strong cross-functional partnerships with effective communication and change management practices.
- Build and maintain client relationships specific to member engagement, ensuring alignment and satisfaction.
- Manage budgets for the member engagement function, balancing resources with strategic priorities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What You’ll Bring to the Team:
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare operations or strategy, healthcare technology, or member experience.
- Deep understanding of navigation and member engagement models.
- Proven success scaling business units, integrating teams, and driving measurable outcomes.
- Strong cross-functional leadership skills, including change management.
- Experience integrating multiple, complex business lines.
- Expertise in self-insured health plans and alternative payment models.
- Experience designing and executing strategies that drive human behavior change.
Where You’ll Work: This is a fully remote position, and we’ll provide all the necessary equipment!
- Work Environment: You’ll need a quiet workspace that is free from distractions.
- Technology: Reliable internet connection—if you can use streaming services, you’re good to go!
- Security: Adherence to company security protocols, including the use of VPNs, secure passwords, and company-approved devices/software.
- Location: You must be US based, in a location where you can work effectively and comply with company policies such as HIPAA.
