About Our Opportunity
As a Vice President, Stop Loss Sales and Solution, you will be responsible for generating new business for our medical stop loss and providing expertise to fill knowledge gaps across our team and the company. With a focus on sales and delivery for our stop loss business, you’ll seek to meet or exceed the company forecasted revenue.
To be successful in this role, you will bring a background in the healthcare industry and stop loss with the ability to develop and execute successful sales strategies.
Things You’ll Do Here:
- Develop and implement a strategic vision for stop loss sales, ensuring alignment with company objectives and market opportunities.
- Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and channels to expand the company’s stop loss footprint. Build a pipeline of high-quality prospects to ensure consistent sales growth.
- Schedule meetings with prospects to introduce and present the Valenz stop loss and integrated platform solutions. Understand the prospects' unique needs and tailor proposals accordingly.
- Attend industry events and trade shows to network with prospects and generate new business. Set up meetings with prospects and use events as an opportunity to showcase Valenz services.
- Supporting Sales and Client Success teams with solution details as required to win business. Clearly communicate the value proposition and how they can enhance the prospect's business.
- Design education and training materials to support intricate solution details necessary to support training of role requiring full solution knowledge.
- Responsible for keeping competitor analysis/details current for Stop Loss solution.
- Work closely with other teams, including account management, operations, and product development, to meet the needs of prospects and clients. Coordinate efforts to ensure that Valenz services are implemented and delivered efficiently and effectively.
- Thoroughly understand all Valenz products and services, including their features, benefits, and competitive differentiators. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and developments.
- Keep accurate and up-to-date records of all prospect interactions in the customer relationship management (CRM) system. Use this information to develop targeted sales strategies and to provide timely updates to management.

What You’ll Bring to the Team:
- 5+ years of experience in a business development, operations or sales role within the healthcare, insurance, or related industries
- Proven track record of success in sales, developing and executing successful sales strategies, exceeding sales targets, and project management.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Knowledgeable of healthcare plan administration and/or self-funded plans.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Where You’ll Work: This is a fully remote position; however, travel may be required up to 30%. We will provide all the necessary equipment for your role!
- Work Environment: You’ll need a quiet workspace that is free from distractions.
- Technology: Reliable internet connection—if you can use streaming services, you’re good to go!
- Security: Adherence to company security protocols, including the use of VPNs, secure passwords, and company-approved devices/software.
- Location: You must be US based, in a location where you can work effectively and comply with company policies such as HIPAA.
